What elements of non-prepackaged delicatessen products must include environmental labeling?

Environmental labeling should be provided for all those items that can be classified as “packaging.”

In the case of non-prepackaged delicatessen products, the sausage casings, the metal seal integrated into the product, and the string and twine designed for seasoning/cooking of sausages are not classifiable as packaging, and therefore are not subject to environmental labeling requirements.

Instead, the bands and labels of these products serve the function of packaging and are classified as such, so they are subject to environmental labeling requirements.
