Is a mechanical cap considered to be manually separable?

A mechanical cap is considered to be manually separable if it is designed to be separated by the user, without risk to his health and safety, from the main body with only the use of his hands and without having to resort to additional tools and tools.

If the mechanical cap can be manually separated from the main body, it must necessarily carry the alphanumeric code as per Decision 129/97 / EC and the indications on collection (if the pack is intended for the final consumer).

If, on the other hand, the mechanical cap cannot be separated manually from the main body, the identification code of the main body material must be indicated, as well as the indications on collection (which follow the material of the main body).

Where possible, only the identification code of the material can be affixed as per Decision 129/97 / EC also on the components that cannot be separated manually, but, on these, the indication on the collection must not be reported.
