FAQ

How should you label a packaging composed mainly of plastic, made up of PET (between the two it is the predominant polymer by weight), LDPE and paper?

A pack made up in this way is a plastic-based compound packaging with paper (the prevalence of the material in this case must take into account the sum of the two polymers, which is> 50% of the total weight of the pack). For the identification of the material, the prevailing C / polymer + number associated with the plastic and paper coupling must be provided, i.e. 81 (as per decision 129/97 / EC). In this case then C / PET81.
