Plastic packaging made from recycled polymers are identified with the identification codes of Decision 129/97 / EC, just like polymers of virgin origin.
If you want to communicate certain contents in environmental labeling, the standard indicates to adopt the reference UNI standards. The reference to the UNI standards is generic, also considering their voluntary characteristic.
In this case the norm UNI 10667-1 it allows to identify and recognize the polymers coming from recycling. The standard indicates that for recycled polymers the “R” must be inserted before the polymer coding (for example R-PET 1).
